ResourcesToday we will move on from rational expressions and begin our work with radical expressions. We have worked on simplifying radicals in the past (solving with the quadratic formula), so today will serve as a nice review. The videos below go over the two different ways that you can look at this process. Most of you have primarily employed the method in the first video, using a factor tree. At this point, you can choose whichever method works best for you. However, as we move through the content I think you will find the second method is going to better when the radicands are not so cooperative.
